Department Head for the Academy of State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, Dr. Araz Aslanlı is also the Chairman of Caucasian Center for International Relations and Strategic Studies (QAFSAM). He received his Bachelor’s degree at the department of Public Administration at Hacettepe University, his Master’s degree at the department of Political Sciences and Public Administration at Ankara University and his PhD degree again at Ankara University in the same institute. He has been giving lectures in Academy of State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, in the Faculty of Turkish World Department of International Relations at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). He has various books and many articles on domestic and foreign politics of Azerbaijan, Karabakh issue, the legal status of the Caspian Sea, other ethnic problems across the old Soviet lands, energy, Turkish foreign policy and Caucasia.
