Examining Christian theology on topics such as neo-Kantianism in Western philosophy, new trends in Western philosophy of religion and morality, and the current situation, Prof. Mehmet Aydın graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Theology. He completed his PhD at Edinburgh University in the field of philosophy. He has worked at many different universities. He became an Associate Professor in 1978 and a Professor in 1984. He served as a lecturer at Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Theology and Dean of the Faculty of Theology. Aydın is the writer of 10 published books. He was an MP for Izmir and was a state minister from 2002-2011.
