
Having publications on atmospheric sciences and disaster management in Turkish and English, Prof. Mikdat Kadıoğlu is currently a faculty member at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Department of Meteorology Engineering and Disaster Management Research and Application Center. Kadıoğlu graduated from ITU Meteorological Engineering Department in 1984 and received his Master’s degree in 1987 and his doctorate in 1991 on atmospheric sciences from Missouri-Columbia University, US. He attended the trainings of FEMA in the US, JICA in Japan and Bournemouth University in England on disaster management. Prof. Kadıoğlu continues his studies on numerical weather forecasting, climate change and disaster management.
