Prof. Ömer Faruk Gençkaya’s researches focus on comparative parliaments, political ethics, financing of politics, transparency, fight against corruption and democratization processes. He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Science and completed his Master’s and doctorate studies at Boğaziçi University, Department of Political Science and International Relations. After his positions at Boğaziçi University and Bilkent University, he has been a faculty member at Marmara University Faculty of Political Sciences since 2009. Ömer Faruk Gençkaya conducted doctoral studies at the University of Oslo with a European Council scholarship and gave lectures at Duke University and Roanoke College as a Fulbright visiting professor. He served as a country evaluator in the GRECO unit of the Council of Europe.
