Ismail Ertürk is Senior Lecturer in Banking and Director for the Banking Programs in the University of Manchester. He graduated from the department of Economics at Middle East Technical University, and then completed his MA at the department of Economics at New York University. He worked as a research assistant at the University of Hull for a year. Since 1987, Ertürk has been giving lectures on banking, international finance and cultural economics, and has been conducting researches and working as advisor on creative economics and cultur industry at the University of Manchester. He has various books and articles published in these research areas. He held visiting positions at İstanbul Commerce University, Stockholm School of Economics in St Petersburg, ESCP Europe Business School affiliated to Paris Chamber of Commerce, Federal University of São Carlos in Brazil and Danish Institute for International Studies.
