Radmila Nakarada is a sociologist and Professor Emeritus at the University of Belgrade. She holds a PhD in sociology from the University of Belgrade. She was the creator of the first undergraduate and graduate program in peace studies in Serbia. She researches global challenges, the violent breakup of Yugoslavia, transition, and reconciliation. She was a member and the first spokesperson of the Yugoslav Truth and Reconciliation Committee, as well as the co-editor of the lecture series taken place in Kolarac Foundation, The Nobel Prize for Peace: Between Idealism and Political Cynicism.
