Prof. Ahmet Kemal Bayram graduated from Middle East Technical University Philosophy Department in 1993. He has conducted studies on the history of political thought, political ideologies, democracy, bureaucracy, modern ethics and political values, power and society. He completed his master’s thesis on the subject of “Michel Foucault’s Analysis of the Phenomenon of Power”, and his PhD on “Democratic Legitimacy and Its Problems in Political Theory.” In 2008, he became the Head of the Department of Public Administration at Afyon Kocatepe University. In 2014, he transferred to Marmara University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Political Science and Public Administration and has been acting as the head of the department since 2016.
